May 3, 2009— The Le Grande Day Spa generously organized, hosted, and contributed their time and support to The Lionheart School for a fundraiser party, Have a Heart. All proceeds from the event directly benefit programs and services for Lionheart’s students. The “Mane” Event of the day was cutting Lionheart teacher Jeremy Spafford’s long mane of hair. Jeremy’s haircut alone raised $1,450 for Lionheart. Many thanks to the owners, employees, clients, and friends of Le Grande! Lionheart Silent Auction Raises Over $150,000!

 

January 24, 2009— Our 9th Annual Taste of Lionheart Silent Auction & Wine Tasting was a great party for a great cause! The event raised over $150,000—quite a feat in these tough times! The silent auction featured exquisite art pieces and rare vintage wines, as well as sports memorabilia, jewelry, and vacation packages. Lionheart’s mission was front and center throughout the evening, as a slideshow of the children played on a large screen. Auction chair and Lionheart parent Diane Smith commented, “Once again, we exceeded our expectations much in the same way we are watching our children exceed theirs. We have so many who donate time and services for the auction, which allows us to use 90% of the funds raised directly towards curriculum needs, therapeutic interventions and scholarships.” A big THANK YOU to all of our generous supporters!!!
