Organization
The Lionheart School is governed by a working board of directors which delegates the management of the school program to the Executive Director. Lionheart has Educational director(s) that work directly with the staff, establishing individual and group goals, working with the parents regarding individual children, and serving as liaisons between Lionheart and outside consultants and individual private professionals. The role of the working board of directors is to establish the philosophy, the broad goals, and the overall policies of Lionheart, and to preserve and enhance Lionheart’s assets, including land, buildings, endowments and regular income. The Executive Director and Lionheart professionals oversee the daily operations of the School. Committees made up of current parents are responsible for fundraising and development efforts, community outreach, public relations, acquisition of educational materials and equipment, and further educational development. The Development Officer coordinates efforts that target foundations, corporations, and individual donors. The Administrative Director handles all global communication with parents, scheduling, database management, tuition, prospective parent inquires and scheduling and other administrative duties.
