It will be assumed that upon entering the Lionheart Program, parents will be educated in their child's disability. If sensory needs are to be addressed, Lionheart's staff will work with the child's current OT to develop a sensory diet throughout the program day. Speech/language needs will be addressed and coordinated with Lionheart's Speech Pathologist. Any educational requirements will be outlined, and goals will be developed.

General parent meetings are held monthly, or more if need be, to discuss curriculum, staffing concerns, fundraising and future goals. Each parent is required to take a role in some aspect of the Lionheart Program.

Parents assume the responsibility of addressing any immediate concerns as soon as possible. The Lionheart experience requires collaboration between team professionals and families. We intend for this program to grow and develop in the coming year.
