Lionheart has a rolling admissions policy – we will accept students
throughout the year if there is an opening in a classroom, and the
student fits the profile of that classroom.
School Tours for 2008-2009 School Year
Tours for the 2008-2009 School Year have been completed.
Any Child 12 years or older:
The Lionheart School has been approved to seek accreditation for
children age 6 years through grade 12 as a Special Purpose School.
We do consider every child we admit as an individual and occasionally we
do accept children who are 12 years or older. However, we do not offer a
traditional high school diploma and we do not offer college prep classes
or curriculum such as foreign languages, physics, calculus etc.
We encourage students (families) who are seeking a college preparatory
program to find an alternative placement before their child will enter
high school.
Admissions
are based on individual profiles and assessments. Medical
records, school reports (if applicable), interviews, as well
as parent input, will determine appropriateness of the Lionheart
program for your child. All the children at Lionheart are school age.
Lionheart will only consider children who will be 6 years of age by the
beginning of the school year in which they are applying.
A
$100.00 non-refundable initial application fee
will be collected for processing information. Interviews and
parent input will be done prior to admission. Notification
of admission will be made after interview with staff and director
is completed.
